Q: I’m moving from another state and bringing my caravan which already has a gas compliance certificate issued, does that mean my caravan complies with Queensland’s gas safety legislation?
A: No. Queensland’s gas safety laws are based on the Australian Standard AS/NZS5601.2 and not all other state laws are as rigid as ours. If you’re bringing a caravan to Queensland from another state, you’ll need to obtain a new gas compliance certificate so you can be sure your caravan complies with Queensland laws. You’ll also need to obtain a Queensland roadworthy certificate for your caravan even if you already have one issued in another state.
